Well, 2022 flew by so fast, Christmas came and went in a flash. Newton Heights was busy in 2022 and yet again we can’t believe the people we have met. The diversity has been amazing. We welcomed overseas visitors back, we started with guests from Australia in August and then in November we started receiving guests from Europe, America, and England. We also have still had Kiwis coming to stay so all in all it’s been busy but great.
We had our family to stay over Christmas, it was lovely having the house full of laughter and happy children’s noises. Andrew, Gemma and the girls came before Christmas, so we were lucky to have the girls here Christmas morning when Santa had been. It wasso much fun, the delight and joy on their faces was infectious. Our grandchildren continue to surprise and delight us. It can be a wee bit hectic trying to get 8 of them to sleep though. The weather wasn’t fantastic, so we didn’t get any boating in before they all left. Early January we were open again and have been busy.
We are due to start our new building project in a few weeks and can’t wait. We are aiming to have the apartments ready for guests by 1.11.2023, this will add some diversity and different options for our guests. Our architect keeps saying to us think Dansey’s Pass shearing shed, but all jokes aside the apartments will be lovely. We already have furniture, fittings, tiles etc sitting in our garage already to go. We will keep you updated with photos as the build progresses. This will keep us busy for a few months but we love nothing better than a project.
Anyway, we wish you all Happy New Year, we hope you have a fantastic year
Brendon & Gail
